In the past, Women didn't have voice as a member of the society. The Woman were only a person whom clean the house, cooked the food and give children to the husband. In this era woman didn't have chance to work as a contribute with the domestic cost, making the woman total dependable in her husband or in her parents before the marriage. It is interesting to think and make the comparison with today days where the woman have same education as a men. However, it is not the reality in all world.
In this two songs we can see that the women years ago were try to have same respect from her husband when she got home. In the actual song, we hear that the women can do what they want without to worry the men think.
I wrote a paper lest year about the "A Jury of Her Peer" I would like to share my conclusion in this paper about yesterday women and today women.
Jury of Her Peer
In today's world it is probably difficult for a young women to imagine the time when women's rule were not as men. However, some women still living in this condition. Unfortunately, some traditions around the world still repressing women. It can be her family or her husband. They need to follow the rule if the woman break the rule, they can be severely punish. Women and children around the world remain at unacceptably high risk of domestic abuse or without voice. A big part are married women, who have experienced physically and mentally abuse from their husbands. Only a small percent of these women consulted with police or a hospital and other percent turn the problem until her death. Domestic violence and abuse can happen to anyone, since the problem is often overlooked. This is especially true when the abuse is psychological, rather than physical. It is possible to find help today, however it can be part of the culture and we can not to intervene, only if the person ask for help or want to be out the tradition.
